Howard Bluhm began working in the financial service profession in 1977. Later he founded Bluhm and Associates, working diligently to ensure his clients’ financial goals are met and that they live stress-free during retirement.
During the past 40 years at Bluhm and Associates, no retired client has had to go back to work, rely on assistance programs, or financially depend on family. We carefully work to protect your assets, so they are there for you to enjoy at the time when they are needed most.

Howard C. Bluhm, MSFS, ChFC
Senior Associate
A former police officer, Howard made the transition to a financial planner over 40 years ago.
During this time period, he experienced many life’s personal moments with his clients along the way. The wisdom he obtained, he now uses to counsel, advise, and prepare clients for retirement.
Being a decorated professional, Howard has a Masters of Science in Financial Services (MSFS). Additional credentials include Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Income Specialist (CIS) and Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC).
Outside the office you will probably find Howard causing mischief with his two grandsons. He also enjoys boating and vacationing with his family.
David J. Tulppo, FIC, CAS
Junior Associate
David was brought aboard in 2020 to lead the business over the next several decades. A former math teacher, he is always analyzing cases mathematically to find the best course of action. Currently he has earned the designations FIC (Fraternal Insurance Counselor), and CAS (Certified Annuity Specialist). He is currently working on the CTS (Certified Tax Specialist).
An avid golfer that enjoys spending time with his family and rooting against that “school up north”.
